have bin using the tria device for seven months and it has not removed one single hair! ive bin using it 2 month for seven months nothing and i am the perfect candidate its bin the most frustrating expirance ever in my entire life! I have very pale nearly seethru white skin and thick straight black hair. One month i even did it three times just out of the sure hope that something would happen but it never did! I always had it on setting 2 and after the second month a huge chicken pox like rash appeared everywhere I used it yet no hair came out. The professionals a tria kept advising me to keep with it and it would eventually fall out and not to worry. To this day I can not get rid of the rash. And now im in a worst boat that i started in I have thick ichy hair in places i dont want and a rash to go with it. 14 treatments and no positive results at all! I have spent more on the dermatologists trying to get rid of the rash than I did with tria. And now seven months later ive had to fight my way just to get a refund. And now I have to pay shipping on top of that just to get a refund! Really I didnt even want a refund i just wanted my hair to be gone by now as promised. But I certainly didnt expect to pay more money to find another solution at this point at time it was unthinkingable ill send pictures to anyone thats interested if anyone else is having this please tell me if you have found a cure thanx! my email is spec.tech.ular1@gmail.com look foward to hear from you

I have had it for about 5 months, and have lasered about 15 times, but I have to admit, I haven’t been the most diligent about doing it on the recommended schedule, I just do it when I have time, but I really haven’t noticed any reduction in hair density. Also, it hurts a lot on the areas with thick, dense hair (bikini and armpits) so I end up having to use it on the lowest setting in those areas, which is the least effective setting. I don’t have a particularly low threshold for pain (plucking doesn’t hurt me) but this laser really does hurt! I am not so happy with it.

It is difficult to fully review this product, as it is one that is expected to take time for true results to show.

I have had mine a few months now, and so far I feel that it is working. After two treatments, I’m noticing less regrowth.

The biggest drawback, and it’s one that I’d considered before buying, is the small size of the laser area. It does take time to cover large areas. If you think this will be a problem for you, you might consider if the greater expense of the Silk’n might be worth it for your needs.

There’s also not a good way with the Tria to tell ‘where you’ve been.’

My solution, FWIW, was to draw a grid of roughly one to two inch sections on my leg with a white pencil. By focusing on one grid at a time, it was easier to get full coverage and be sure of where I’d treated. I checked off the grids as I completed them, so I’d know which sections were done.

So far, I am happy with this purchase, and will try to remember to update. :)

We purchased the Tria last month, and I’ve already noticed hairs falling out… You can tell which ones were killed off because they will look stunted next to the other hairs as they are growing out, and if you can pull them right out without plucking (the roots are dead, they just slide out after a couple of weeks).

I’m focusing right now on my armpits, crazy chin hairs (the hairs grew in on a scar I have). The chin hairs were the easiest to eliminate, and haven’t grown back yet. I’m really happy about that, because those embarassed me the most. I turned this bad boy up to the full-strength-setting right off the bat, I’d rather have to deal with a stronger zap up front and fewer sessions, instead of being a wimp and having to do it more often. Don’t waste the zaps. I rub anbesol across my skin then wipe it off a few seconds before I zap on the areas that were so dense that the zaps were a little too much… with the anbesol, I didn’t feel them anymore… but have to wipe it ALL away before zapping.

I shaved really closely before I used the Tria, because the darker the hair, and longer, the more you feel the zap. Plus the instructions tell you to shave closely to make zapping more comfortable. I have pale skin and dark hair and haven’t had any trouble with the system.

Activation seems like it would be difficult, but it’s super fast & easy and you can do it all online.

I’m really happy with the system so far, and hopefully once I get around to treating my legs I’ll be able to stop stealing those really nice razors my husband buys for himself. He didn’t even hesitate when I pitched the system by telling him I would be able to leave his razors alone (which means his razors won’t rip off his face when I sneak them back into his stuff after shaving my legs). It’s a win-win! His razors aren’t cheap, either.

So far so good. I have been using the TRIA for 4 weeks now and have already noticed a difference on my legs and underarms. I will certainly keep at it to be hair-free by summer!
