As a first time mom I obsessed over everything, including bath safety for baby. Bought this and loved it the first few times I used. The only downside is that it would drive me a little crazy when the water would get a bit too hot because it would take forever to shut up while I added cold water (of course, baby was not in the bathtub while I adjusted the water temperature). The reason for a 1-star is that after only 6 baths, water got inside the digital unit and it doesn’t work anymore. I’d assume this would be the ONLY thing that the manufacturer should have figured out – how to use a bath thermometer in the bathtub without destroying it.
Anyway, instead of gadgets, save your money and just stick your elbow in the bathtub. The inside of the elbow has very sensitive skin, so if the water is too hot for the baby you will know.

This thermometer is great – does exactly what it says it will do. The thermometer kicks into action the moment it hits the water and monitors the temperature well (in F and C, and to one decimal place) throughout baby’s bath time. One thing we always do, though, is wait about 10-15 seconds to let the thermometer take at least a few readings before setting baby in the tub.
We have not had any issues with the thermometer and the beeping that other reviewers have mentioned which comes at the end when you rinse, is easily stopped when you give it a good shake to get all the water out.
Also, we’re sure our little one will enjoy the cute turtle as soon as she begins to see what it is!
All in all, a great product and highly recommend it. It provides peace of mind on the safety of the water temperature with no effort at all.

This thermometer is great. Now, I don’t have to worry about the water being too cold or hot for my baby. I keep it in the tub while I bath my daughter. It tracks the water temperature the entire time and she plays with it too. It turns off by itself after a few shakes to get the water off it.

Reads very clearly and beeps when water is too warm or too hot. I didn’t trust the gauge at the bottom of the bathtub we have so I purchased this as a back up and am very confident with it.

I wasn’t sure if I really needed this before I bought it – but I was just a little worried that I would get the bath water too hot for my little one. Well, now – I get the water to 99 degrees with this thermometer – and my little one can stay in the tub for 20 minutes – the thermometer also goes off when the water gets too cold. It is AWESOME! And my little one likes to play with it with his feet too.
